Hello, my name is Annie Merriman. I graduated with a B.A. in
psychology from Whitworth University and went on to receive a M.Ed. from
Harvard University in prevention science and practice with emphasis on
early childhood counseling. I currently live in the sunny Tri-Cities and
am serving as a child and adolescent therapist through the WISe
(Wraparound with Intensive Services) program. I enjoy working with
children and families on trauma, anxiety, depression, relational
difficulties, and issues related to poverty. Because I have seen the
therapeutic power of play in the lives of my clients, I am passionate
about educating professionals and the community about play therapy.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Peixoto. I live in my Seattle with my husband, two cats, and three chickens. I have a B.A. in Psychology from UC Davis and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from California Lutheran University. I have been working with children therapeutically since 2006, and I have been working in my private practice since February 2014. I currently practice play therapy with children ages 3-17. I believe my passion for play therapy and play therapy trainings/seminars will help me both advocate and educate about play therapy to members of our community including students, families, therapists, and community mental health agencies.
President Elect - Jill Forsberg, LMFT
My name is Jill Forsberg MA LMFT. I graduated from Antioch University Seattle in 2005 and began my career in Community Mental Health. I began the transition from Community Mental Health to Private Practice in 2012 and have been full time Private Practice since 2015. I currently provide therapy for children, teens and adults. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and provide Clinical Supervision in individual and group format. I've always valued play as an integral part of therapy and incorporated it into the work I do with children and teens. I attended Antioch University's Play Therapy Certificate Program with the intention of fully committing to Play Therapy as central to the work I do in my practice. I live in West Seattle with my two dogs, Sasha and Stuart Little. We are often seen at Westcrest Dog Park, Lincoln Park and Alki Beach Trail. I am originally from Phoenix, AZ and go back often to visit my four nephews.
Krissy Perry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with a Master's in Education in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma. She has worked with children and families in a variety of settings over the past 8 years – nonprofit agencies, head start programs, for-profit agencies, and private practice. Krissy recently began Eastside Play Therapy, a private practice in north Bellevue. Hi, my name is Sarah Harwood. I graduated with a BMus music degree from the London College of Music. I have worked as a teacher and a music therapist in the UK and Australia over the past 15 years. Presently, I am currently studying my Master of Arts in Counseling at City University of Seattle. I am completing my internship at Center for Human Services with an emphasis on Infant and Early Childhood, and family therapy. It is an honor to be part of the play therapy board community.
Membership Director - Rosie Newman, MA, LMHC, RPT-S
Rosie Newman, MA, LMHC, RPT-S is a child and family therapist and founder of Seattle Play Therapy, a small private practice in North Seattle. She received her Master of Arts degree in Existential and Phenomenological Psychology from Seattle University and subsequent training and experience in play therapy to earn her Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor credential. Rosie was board president of the Washington Association for Play Therapy in 2013 and propelled the branch forward to earn its first ever gold branch status. Rosie taught a graduate level play therapy course at Seattle University and has provided training in play therapy in a variety of settings. Rosie is also the Clinical Director for A Home Within (Seattle Chapter), as part of a national non-profit that facilitates pro bono psychotherapy for foster youth. I graduated from the University of Washington in 2009 with my Master's in Social Work. Since then I have had the privilege of working in multiple agency settings focused on working with survivors of domestic violence, homelessness, poverty and other kinds of trauma. In my journey as a therapist, I was so fortunate to find the Association for Play Therapy, as it was instrumental to my growth as a practitioner of play therapy. And I am eager to give back! Hi, my name is Kathleen Goodman and I moved to Seattle 3 years ago from Nashville, TN. I received my BA from Wake Forest University and my M.Ed in School Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I've been working as a school counselor for 9 years and I also serve on the Adjunct Faculty at Seattle University. I am passionate about play therapy and one day I hope to write a children's book about blended families. In my spare time, I volunteer with Junior League of Seattle and Girls on the Run. On a sunny day, you can find me hiking or kayaking with my husband.

Stacy Glover is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a M.A. from Antioch University. Stacy has been practicing for 5 years and has always had a passion for working with children ages 4-18 on a multitude of issues while incorporating play into the therapeutic process. Stacy has a community mental health background, but most recently started working solely with military children on and off base at JBLM to help increase coping skills to deal with the unique challenges of being a military kid. Stacy has been a board member of the Washington Association for Play Therapy since 2011 holding various positions over the years. In her spare time, you'll find Stacy engaging in playful activities of her own, whether it be hiking in the mountains, snowboarding, catching local reggae shows, or having fun with friends and family.

Hello!, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I have a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been working with children as long as I can remember. I used to be a preschool teacher while in Hawaii, where I consider it my home, and I have been working with children therapeutically since 2003. I started private practice in 2010. My passion is Early Childhood population and I do play therapy with children under the age of 9 years old. I really believe in the therapeutic power of play and I am invested in it. I love helping my clients through the power of play, as well as in educating others in the community about play therapy as an effective method of intervention, even for adults.
